There is an additional feature made during the Google I/O 2023 that Google Chome OS is getting the ability to stream apps directly from a paired Android smartphone. In the form of the beta ChromeOS 114 update, the ability to stream apps directly from a paired Android smartphone would be there for all Chromebook.
Well, at present there are some warnings about this feature, however, it is available only on Pixel (Pixel 4A or later) and Xiaomi smartphones running Android 13. You can use the Android app as you do on your smartphone. It will be visible in a dedicated window that appears on the desktop. Also, this feature can be accessed through the Phone Hub section.
Talking about Samsung’s availability, this time, it is unfortunate to tell that the Samsung smartphone lacking with this feature. Usually, Google releases some new ChromeOS features that work exclusively on Pixel and Samsung smartphones. However, the company chose to offer early access to Xiaomi smartphones.
Well, there may be an arresting plan between two partners, Google-Samsung may be planning to differ from other availability. Whatever it would be it will be great to see this feature work on Galaxy smartphones.
But for now, this useful feature only works when the Chromebook and the paired Android smartphone are on the same Wi-Fi network and are close to each other. It offers the ability to use your phone’s apps that aren’t available on the Chromebook.
