Ahead of the official product launch, Samsung introduced the new and updated BioActive Sensor (Galaxy Watch 7). The sensor will provide more accurate health measurements than the original version in the current Galaxy Watch6 series. This enables predictive and preventative wellness features to be implemented.
The first feature will show the Advanced Glycation End Products (AGEs) Index – this is an indicator of metabolic health and biological aging, which is influenced by your lifestyle and eating habits. This will be used to track how your fitness improves as you change your regimen.
The all-new BioActive Sensor is essential to bringing you better preventative health experiences on the next Galaxy Watch, with design improvements that enable even more precise health insights. Samsung engineers focused on three upgrades to the new sensor: enhancing the performance of light-receiving photodiodes, adding additional colors of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and arranging them optimally across the sensor.
