Samsung at the Galaxy Unpacked event in January showcased its first smart ring – the Galaxy Ring for the first time, via a short “presentation” video.
Samsung plans the production of Galaxy Ring
Recently, the statement of Daniel Seung, global head of B2B Wearable/IoT/Accessory at Samsung Electronics, confirmed that the future Galaxy Ring should make its debut in the second half of this year.
According to the latest information, Samsung intends to start mass production in May 2024, initially budgeting around 400,000 units.
it seems that at launch the company’s future smart ring may lack some of the features of the Galaxy Watch series medical devices, this would be mainly due to the fact that the company may need more time to obtain device certifications from doctors for functionality of this type.
The future features of Galaxy Ring include blood pressure and ECG measurement, as well as irregular heart rhythm notification (IHRN).
