According to the latest information from Etnews, in South Korea, the pre-order sales of the artificial intelligence (AI) phone Galaxy S24 series have reached 1.2 million units. It is expected that the total annual sales will reach up to 36 million units.
In this case, it is the first to exceed 30 million units in 5 years since the Galaxy S10 in 2019. It is expected that AI functions will lead to the recovery of the sluggish smartphone market.
Pre-order sales for the Galaxy S24 series are expected to exceed 1.1 million units and approach 1.2 million units. The previous Galaxy S23 series sold 1.09 million units, the S22 series sold 1.01 million units, and the S21 sold 800,000 units.
Among all Galaxy devices, the record for the most pre-orders ever is held by the Note 10 at 1.38 million units. It surpasses the 30 million unit mark for the first time in five years since the Galaxy S10 series in 2019.
