Samsung launched the Galaxy S23 series at the start of 2023 powered by a Snapdragon processor. According to the latest information, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 series is expected to be launched with a dual-processor strategy. In addition to Qualcomm’s third-generation Snapdragon 8 for Galaxy, it will be equipped with its own Exynos 2400 processor in some specific markets such as Europe.
Exynos 2400 Processor
The new Exynos 2400 processor will adopt a ten-core design of 1+2+3+4. The specific specifications are: 1 3.1GHz ARMv9 Cortex-X4 core, 2 2.9GHz ARMv9 Cortex-A720 cores, 3 2.6GHz ARMv9 Cortex-A720 cores, 4 1.8GHz ARMv9 Cortex-A520 cores.
However, the Exynos 2400 will only support 64-bit due to the transition to the latest Arm V9.2 core. In terms of graphics, Exynos 2400 will be equipped with Xclipse 940, which has twice the number of graphics computing units that RDNA 2 achieves. Exynos 2400 will also further enhance applications in the AI field.
It will be equipped with an Exynos 5300 modem, which can achieve a downlink speed of up to 10Gbps and an uplink speed of up to 3.87Gbps, and supports two-way satellite communication and the latest 3GPP 5G Version 18 network.
In addition, Exynos 2400 will also support UFS 4.0 storage and LPDDR5X memory with a rate of up to 8.5Gbps. The image signal processor supports 320 million pixel photos and 8K60fps video shooting.
