Samsung News app to reach Europe and more markets

Reportedly, Samsung Free got redesigned as well as rebranded again in April. Subsequently, now this content aggregation platform is referred to as Samsung News. While it appears that the company is planning to release it in more markets.

The transformation from Free to News is revealed by Samsung in early April. Before that, this was introduced in the USA. At the same time, the company doesn’t mention its availability in other markets. On the other hand, it has been coming to hear that News to reach the Europe market as well soon.

The content aggregation platform is clearing regulatory hurdles

Apparently, the new application at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) confirms that Samsung is all set to bring the News aggregation platform to more markets as per Galaxy Club.

The trademark application is accompanied by the app’s new icon design you see above. The “Goods and Services” section describes “computer software for users to share daily information to provide interactive and personalized intelligence.”

Samsung News proposes three ways for users in order to find content via Daily Briefings, News Feeds, and Podcasts. The platform put forward content from partners including Bloomberg Media, CNN, Fortune, Fox News, Sports Illustrated, USA TODAY, Vice, and others.

Additionally, Samsung introduced its collective content aggregation home screen for Galaxy devices under the hood of Bixby Home’s name. Afterward, the platform was renamed Samsung Daily. Whereas, later it is known as Samsung Free. Subsequently, it becomes News respectively.
