Galaxy Z Fold 5 Launch Date
Samsung may launch its Galaxy Z Fold 5 sometime around mid-to-late August 2023. Sales for the phone should start in the following week or two. Currently, the company is facing chip shortages, but we don’t expect that to impact Samsung’s plans.
Galaxy Z Fold 5 Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 foldable smartphone is reportedly arriving with a teardrop-style hinge, similar to what we’ve seen on the OPPO Find N2 and the Motorola Razr 2022. With this new hinge the two sides of the display close flat on top of each other when the device is folded.
Recently Display insider Ross Young claimed that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will be available in Beige, Black, and Light Blue color options. Other tipsters confirmed that under the hood, the upcoming foldable phone may use a Snapdragon for Galaxy chipset, presumably being the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 seen in the Galaxy S23 range.
The phone could measure 158.5 x 128.5 x 6.5mm unfolded and 158.5 x 67.5 x 14.5 – 16mm when folded. It reportedly weighs around 275g. This year Samsung may skip the S Pen slot as it would’ve made the foldable thicker and would’ve had ramifications for internal space.
Now, SamNews 24 hears that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will offer a similar camera system as Z Fold 4 but with GN3. It means the Z Fold 5 may have a combination of GN3 50MP main camera, 12MP ultrawide sensor, and 10MP telephoto camera.
Galaxy Z Fold 6 Camera Info
According to the information, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 may also get the 50M GN3 main camera. The company will also include new capabilities in terms of software and hardware.
