The October 2022 security patch update is available for the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S21 series and now joining another flagship series the Galaxy Note 20 series also updated with October 2022 security patch update.
For now, Samsung is rolling out the new patch update in various European countries. Other regions will get the current patch in the coming days.
According to the changelog, the October 2022 security patch is rolling out for the LTE variants of the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and it comes with firmware version N98xFXXS5FVI4. The rollout is spotted in countries – Albania, GernauGermany, Greece, Poland, Portugal, Tom Ukraine, Southeast Europe, Kazakhstan, the Baltic region, the Netherlands, and Uzbekistan.
The 5G versions of the phones are getting the new update with firmware version N98xBXXS5FVI4. The October 2022 security patch fixes over 40 security vulnerabilities.
In order to install the latest patch update on your Galaxy Note 20 series device, you can download and install the update by navigating to Settings -> Software update -> Download and install.
