South Korean firm to bring new foldable phones under $800 by 2024

A recent report has confirmed that the South Korean giant Samsung, for now, is the number one seller of foldable smartphones, you will be glad to know that Samsung accounts for nearly 80 percent of sales. We hope this track will continue in future tasks too.

Talking as a competitor Apple also working on the device to make a difference in the market. Ahead of that Samsung could launch the new Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4.

If we recall the cost of the Galaxy Z Fold that was launched with $1,999. It was only last year that the top-of-the-line foldable was priced at $1,799. The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is the first Samsung foldable priced below the $1000 mark at precisely $999.

According to the latest report, Samsung could launch foldable phones priced under $800 by 2024. If we believe in rumors then the device will be named under foldable Galaxy A smartphone and could be released by 2025.

The trusted source, The Elec reported that Samsung won’t change the screens too much, according to report, the internal folding screen will once again be 6.7in (and OnLeaks agrees), while the outer screen will grow very slightly from 1.83in up to 1.9in.

Samsung Exynos is not a part for this time but yeah Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor in the Z Flip 3 could get an upgrade to the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, but it actually looks more likely that the Flip 4 will use the upcoming 8 Gen 1+.

The 8GB of memory and 128/256GB storage options will probably remain as they are, though SamMobile predicts the addition of a new 512GB storage option – a welcome addition since, like the Z Flip 3, there’s unlikely to be a MicroSD card slot.

The capacity will be 3,400mAh rather than the 3,300mAh of the Galaxy Z Flip 3. But a more recent leak points to a 3,700mAh battery, which would be quite an upgrade. The Z Flip 4 will have a roughly 10-20% larger battery than its predecessor.
