Samsung TV Plus introduces movie VOD service in Korea

Samsung Korea has officially announced the launch of a movie VOD service on Samsung TV Plus. The service will start on December 14th. Samsung TV Plus users can enjoy any movie they want to watch at any time.

Samsung Electronics plans to collaborate with KT Alpha to sequentially increase the number of VOD contents to about 150 by the end of the year and to about 1,000 next year.

Especially at the end of the year, you can enjoy Christmas-related movies such as ‘Charles Dickens’ Secret Study’, ‘Noel’s Gift’, and ‘Paddington 2’.

The company said, A navigation bar was introduced on the left side of the home screen to provide direct access to themed pages such as Home, Live TV, Movies/TV Shows, Music, and Kids.

Choi Yong-hoon, Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ Visual Display Business Division, said, “Considering the diverse tastes of users, we plan to expand VOD to more than 1,000 next year by strengthening content partnerships,” and added, “We plan to continuously improve consumer experience through high-quality content and UI updates.”
