Samsung Electronics is looking to change the release date of its new Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 foldable devices. According to the latest Korean media report, the company is coordinating plans to advance the release schedule of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 by about a month.

It was reported that the new foldable devices will be released in July 2023 and sales will also begin on the same time. Daniel Araujo, managing director of Samsung Electronics’ MX division, said in a conference call announcing the first quarter results at the end of last month, “(For the second quarter MX business), we will continue to sell existing models through foldable reboot marketing while raising awareness, and prepare for the release of new models in the second half of the year.” said.

As per the stats, the last Galaxy Z4 Series was released in August and in the domestic market, the pre-sales alone recorded 970,000 units, renewing the highest record for a foldable phone. It received a huge jump in Europe also as compared to its predecessor.

Meanwhile, the renders of the Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 were recently leaked. The dimensions of the Z Fold 5 foldable will come in at 154.9mm x 129.9mm x 6.3mm when its unfolded, and will come in at 154.9mm x 67.1mm x 13.5mm when folded. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is set to come a bit different from its predecessor, with a large cover display that has a pretty unique design.
