Samsung is expanding its smart kiosk system with new Windows platform

Samsung smart products offer an easy way to utilize time and needs. Now, according to the official information, the smart self-service portal from Samsung will also be available on the European market as a Windows-based kiosk terminal from May 2023. It is equipped with the Windows 10 generation and is offered with the Intel Celeron i3 processor.

For your information, with the new Windows platform, Samsung intends to become a leading player with its smart all-in-one terminals in the previously highly fragmented kiosk market.

“With contactless ordering and payment options, the processes in retail and gastronomy can be made efficient and customer-friendly,” says Steven Pollok, Director Display Division at Samsung Electronics. “With our Windows-based kiosk terminal, we now offer further options for the direct connection of peripheral devices.”

To recall, the company launched its first smart kiosk systems with the proprietary Linux-based Tizen operating system in Europe in spring 2021. From May 2023, the company will also offer Windows-based kiosk terminals.

The self-service terminals are an attractive solution to automate a wide range of retail and hospitality service processes. As all-in-one terminals, they support the entire service and sales process: from product selection and ordering to payment and receipt printing.
