Update 3 – April 10, 2023: Samsung has started rolling out a major camera update to the Samsung Galaxy S23 series in China. The latest update is rolling with the version number S9180ZCU1AWCA / S918OCHC1AWCA / S918DZCU1AWCA, and the update size is 977.72 MB.
Update 2 – April 09, 2023: The South African units of the Galaxy S23 Series are now getting the huge April 2023 camera update. The latest update comes with software version S918BXXU1AWC8.

Update 1 – April 03, 2023: After releasing the huge camera update to the Galaxy S23 Series South Korean users. Now, Samsung has started rolling out the same update to Europe users.
The latest update also includes the April 2023 security patch. According to the information, the big camera update for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra comes with the firmware version S918BXXU1AWC8.
The list of improvements is as follows (paraphrased):
- Photos can now be deleted from the gallery app while they are still being processed.
- The camera will now default to prioritizing shooting speed rather than waiting for the autofocus system to achieve a perfect lock.
- Clarity and flicker have been improved when shooting video in Super Steady mode, and a guidance message has been added to warn users when there’s not enough light available for good-quality results.
- Fixes an issue where a green line occasionally appeared when shooting with the rear camera.
- Improves image stabilization when shooting in Full HD at 60 fps when Auto FPS is switched off.
- Reduces banding noise in dim skies when shooting in high-megapixel modes as well as improved overall sharpness and reduced intermittent blurring.
- Fixes a malfunction when shooting in high-resolution mode with night mode off.
- Fixes an issue where face recognition would intermittently stop working after ending a third-party video call.
