Reportedly WhatsApp is focused on bringing the ability to enable users in order to share as many as 100 media files in one go. As, in its current state, WhatsApp only allows 30 files. While the new development has been flaked by noted tracker WABetaInfo in WhatsApp beta for the Android 2.24.4.3 release. While the select beta testers have already got the new features, as per WABetaInfo. Thus to check whether the feature is enabled, the customer just needs to select more than 30 files in the media picker within the app.

Therefore, if you are able to select more than 30 files at once then the feature is enabled for you. While, if it is not enabled, then those users need to wait as there’s no other way around. Notably, this is a long-awaited feature that many of us would eagerly want.

WhatsApp 100 media files

Moving ahead, the constraint with 100 media file sharing is that user is not able to select the same photo or video multiple times. While the feature is already made its debut in the beta testing phase as WhatsApp beta Android. Hence, it is expected to roll for the general public soon.

WhatsApp status updates

WhatsApp also revealed some new features for Status Updates. The same enables the users to share temporary updates with contacts on the chat platform.

Private Audience:

Firstly, there is a Private Audience Selector, as the name indicates, which enables users to choose which audience sees their status updates. Although, this is not completely a new feature. While the most recent audience selection is saved and will be used as the default for the next update.

Voice Status:

Further, we have the Voice Status feature, which enables the users to share voice notes of up to 30 seconds in their status. As per WhatsApp, this is another way of sending more personal updates.

Status Reactions:

This allows users to react to the status updates instantly by simply swiping up and tapping one of the eight emojis, this is the same as we did in Instagram.

Status Profile Rings:

This feature really helps users to see updates within the chat lists, group participants lists, and contact info. This shows the ring around the user’s profile picture.

Link previews:

Lastly, there is an update to the Link Previews on Status. It means whenever a user posts a link, a visual preview of the same is available. It aims to offer contacts a much better idea of what the link is about prior to opening it.
