Breaking: Samsung removed Galaxy S24 Plus model from 2024 series

Samsung is ready to launch the Galaxy S23 Series on February 01, 2023. The next Galaxy S24 Series launch will take place in next year and according to the latest information from The Elec, Samsung is looking to remove the plus model from the 2023 Galaxy S24 lineup.

The company may only launch two models. Samsung Electronics reportedly removed the plus model from the flagship smartphone Galaxy S24 series and the company is gearing up to make plans to organize the series into 2 types such as regular and ultra models.

Samsung Electronics’ Galaxy S24 Series Development Project ‘DM’ has DM1 and DM3 development assignments, but it is known that there is no DM2 development assignment pointing to the intermediate model. Initially, the project was planned for three types, DM1 ~ DM3, but it is estimated that the DM2 development task was omitted during the recent discussion.

As per the report from the GfK, the global smartphone need by year fell from 1.47 billion units in 2018 to 1.376 billion units in 2019, and has been consistently falling down to 1.3 billion units since 2020. After decreasing to 1.268 billion units in 2020, the first year of the spread of Corona 19, it rebounded to 1.299 billion units in 2021, but decreased again to 1.243 billion units last year. In 2023, we may see a 1.278 billion units figure.
