Galaxy S23’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 may have different specs

It is claimed that the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset will come with all the new specs

As the time comes closer, we tend to listen a lot about Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S23. As of now, we have heard much of its facts with respect to its features and functionality. Recently, we also came across design renders of the S23 series. And this pace of rumour mill adopts more frequency now. As earlier, it claims that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC that going to debut with the upcoming S23 series are powered by a 1+2+2+3 configuration. This means it has one Cortex-X3 CPU core, two Cortex-A720 CPU cores, two Cortex-A710 CPU cores, and three Cortex-A510 CPU cores. Now, by breaking all the previous revealed facts. Reportedly it is claimed that the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset will come with all the new specs, that we know so far.

Additionally, this piece of info comes from a very reliable source. None other than tipster Ice Universe disclose the facts about the same that instead of two Cortex-A720 cores. The upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will be enriched with a pair of Cortex-A715 cores. Apart from this, its Cortex-X3 also carries a maximum clock speed of 3.2GHz. While the Cortex-A510 will clock at a speed of 2GHz. On the other hand, the Cortex-A715 and Cortex-A710 cores will have clock speeds of up to 2.8GHz. And subsequently, these cores will be paired with the Adreno 740 GPU.

Qualcomm is expected to unveil Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC officially in November

All these above mention facts depict that the ultra high-frequency variant of the SoC that would support prime core clocked at 3.4-3.5GHz. To make this understand better with the help of bit comparison then the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 has a prime core clocked at 3.2GHz. And when comparing it to the A16 bionic on the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max has a performance core clocked at 3.46GHz.

In addition to this, as per the recent info, Qualcomm is all set to host the Snapdragon Summit. The same going to happen between 15 to 17 of November 2022 in Hawaii. Where it is speculated to unveil the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 officially.

Power over Performance

Now after capturing all of the above facts. It clearly indicates that Qualcomm is believed to be focused on the “energy efficiency” segment. In spite of its performance with its upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Now, this makes the “ultra-high frequency” version more demandable. In front of the OEMs that are looking for a chip that has their focuses on power over efficiency. And when coming to its manufacturing then Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will allegedly be produced by TSMC in its 4nm mode respectively.
