Samsung Dominates the Global Digital Signage Market: 15 Years and Counting

Samsung Electronics has maintained its No. 1 position throughout the year since it first ranked No. 1 in commercial displays in 2009.

According to Omdia, in 2023 Samsung not only led the global signage market with a 33% market share, but also sold over 2 million units — a record-breaking number for the company.

“Achieving first place in the global display signage market for 15 consecutive years reflects our commitment to innovation and our ability to adapt to evolving market conditions and the needs of our customers,” said Hoon Chung, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “We will continue to provide the highest value to our customers by offering specialized devices, solutions and services that address their diverse needs.”

Samsung Electronics is introducing a variety of commercial displays and solutions, including the world’s first modular display “The Wall” with micro light-emitting diode (LED) technology, “Smart Signage,” which enhances immersion with ultra-slim thickness and uniform bezel design, customized “outdoor signage” ranging from sports and landmark markets to electric vehicle charging stations, and electronic blackboard “Samsung Flip Pro.”

The Wall lineup is expanding to “The Wall All-in-One” and “Virtual Productions Only The Wall,” which have increased installation convenience, and has recently been supplied to top-tier suites of ultra-luxury hotels such as Dubai Atlantis The Royal and Singapore Marina Bay Sands.
