Samsung Chairman Lee Jae-yong officially visited the Incheon plant of Samsung BioLogics, which gained a record-breaking performance.
According to the official information, it achieved the highest annual sales (KRW 3.7 trillion), operating profit (KRW 1.1 trillion), and orders (KRW 3.5 trillion) on a consolidated basis in 2023.
Chairman Lee Jae-yong inspected the 5th factory site, which is under construction for completion next year, and the 4th factory production line, which is currently in full operation, and received a report on the technology development roadmap and mid- to long-term business strategy from Samsung BioLogics management.
Meanwhile, Samsung BioLogics, which counts 14 of the global top 20 pharmaceutical companies as customers, is building a 5th factory to respond to rapidly increasing customer demand and secure a super gap in production capacity. Factory 5 has a production capacity of 180,000 liters and is scheduled to start operation in April next year.
