Samsung has recently launched the Galaxy S24 lineup. The standard S24 model comes with a 6.20-inch touchscreen display (FHD+). The display sports Gorilla Glass for protection.
Under the hood, the Galaxy S24 is powered by an octa-core processor. It comes with 8GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy S24 runs Android 14 and is powered by a 4000mAh non-removable battery. For optics, the rear packs a 50-megapixel (f/1.8) primary camera; a 12-megapixel (f/2.2) camera, and a 10-megapixel (f/2.4) camera. It has a single front camera setup for selfies, featuring a 12-megapixel sensor.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 runs One UI 6.1 is based on Android 14 and packs 128GB, 256GB, 512GB of inbuilt storage. Now, according to the YouTube channel WekiHome, the latest Galaxy S24 family seem to unlock faster than the old models; apparently, it is not some new feature implemented on the software side, but rather a new sensor for fingerprint recognition.

The YouTube channel WekiHome has published a video thanks to which, in addition to being able to witness yet another disassembly of a Galaxy S24 Ultra, from the video it emerges that the company has used a new 3D Sonic fingerprint reader, whose model code is QFS4008; the previous generation device, Galaxy S23 Ultra, instead had a component with code QBT2608.

The standard Galaxy S24 still starts at $799 and the Galaxy S24 Plus starts at $999 — it’s only the Ultra that went up in price this year, to $1,299.
