In 2024, several chip manufacturing companies are working on a new chipset development to bring a major breakthrough in the market.
Reportedly, the South Korean tech giant Samsung along with TSMC, and Intel working on 2nm chip manufacturing, which will go live for production in 2025.
The company also confirmed that its foundry business will continue to develop the 2nm process while stabilizing mass production of the 3nm GAA process, and gain more orders from fast-growing fields such as AI accelerators.
In an announcement along with the Q4 2023 report, Samsung mentions the jump in demand for smartphones and PCs, which is also turning the tide for the foundry business.
