Google Weather adds Nowcast

Google has officially introduced the Material You redesign of Google Weather on its Pixel product launch. Now, according to the information, Google confirmed to 9To5Google that the company will bring the new Weather experience to more devices in the future.

In addition to the revamped design of the Weather app,  a new feature is also available for “Google Nowcast,” which provides more accurate predictions for rain, hail, and snow occurrences within the next 12 hours.

These short-term forecasts rely on data obtained from the Multi-Radar/Multi-Sensor System (MRMS) and High-Resolution Rapid Refresh (HRRR), both sourced from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, alongside other relevant data sources. The Nowcast data is frequently updated multiple times per hour.
