Samsung Galaxy Fold gets the May 2023 security patch

The South Korean tech giant Samsung has now started rolling out the month-old May 2023 security patch for the Galaxy Fold. The update includes firmware version F900U1UEU6HWE5 for unlocked versions.

According to the information, the latest firmware update is live in the US and it fixes over 70 security flaws found in Galaxy smartphones and tablets. The update is now available for users on Comcast, US Cellular, Verizon, and Xfinity Mobile networks. Other carriers are also expected to release the update in the near future.

You can download it by tapping on Settings > Software update > Download and Install.

Back in 2019, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Fold, which was launched with Android 9. Over time, the phone received major Android updates. In 2020, it was upgraded to Android 10, followed by the Android 11 update in 2021, and the Android 12 update in early 2022.
