Americans prefer the Samsung brand over Apple [Survey]

According to the latest survey report, Americans prefer the Samsung brand over Apple. Yes, you read that right, Samsung ranked 7th among the brands loved by Americans, while Apple came in at 10th. The 100 “most visible companies” are then rated by a second group of Americans across the seven key dimensions of reputation to determine the ranking.

The report was published by CNBC entitled “2023 Axios Harris Poll” on the top 100 brands loved by Americans. In the survey released by Axios on May 23, Samsung fell one rank from last year to 7th place, swapping ranks with Japanese automaker Toyota.

Samsung SDI, which manufactures displays and batteries, scored 84.6 points in the product and service details section, placing 5th. Toyota ranked 6th.

Despite ranking 10th and falling behind Samsung, Apple’s momentum was quite strong, rising 11 places from the previous year. Amazon maintained the same position as last year, coming in 8th.

Patagonia eco-friendly clothing brand ranked 1st place. Costco, a warehouse membership discount store, skyrocketed 24 ranks to 2nd place. LG rose nine ranks to place 18th.

Toyota, which rose to 6th place, Sony (12th place), Honda Motors (13th place), and Subaru (16th place) all made it into the top 100 brands. Adidas and car company BMW ranked 22nd and 24th, respectively. Chinese social media platform TikTok came in at 94th, while Meta Platforms, the parent company of American social media networks Facebook and Instagram, was in 96th place. Elon Musk’s social media platform, Twitter, was 97th. Tesla ranked 62nd.
