The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 foldable are expected to be a step up from the Galaxy Flip 4 and Z Fold 4. In terms of Z Flip 5, it will be expected to come with an outer display. So far, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is rumoured to arrive with a 6.7-inch main display, a 3.4-inch cover display, a Dual rear camera and measures roughly 165 x 71.8 x 6.7mm (unfolded). The display could allow for enhanced functionality, enabling users to interact with notifications, music controls, and other essential features without the need to unfold their device.
Now, according to the latest information, Samsung’s Global Marketing Officer, Lee Young-hee, hinted that Unpacked for the new foldable smartphone would take place in South Korea. When asked by the reporters why Unpacked would be held in Seoul, Lee responded, “Because Korea is meaningful and important” confirmed by Tipster Revegnus (via Yonhap News).
Apart from that, the South Korean tech giant is also expected to bring the foldable with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which has proven its prowess in the Galaxy S23 series. Coupled with this processor, an upgrade to UFS 4.0 storage, at least in models with 256GB or more capacity, could offer faster data transfer speeds and performance enhancements.
Recently, the popular Twitter tipster Ice Universe also stated that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 crease has not changed, the appearance of UPC does not change, the external screen has not changed and the gap decreases and becomes thinner after folding. Tipster says the Galaxy Z Fold 5 crease is almost the same as Fold 4.
Meanwhile, Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), spilled some information on Twitter regarding some potential new colorways for the Galaxy Z Flip 5. Allegedly, the Z Flip 5 may come in blue, green, platinum, and yellow. We’ve been hearing speculation about the possible color options for the clamshell foldable for a while now. Previously, it was rumored that the Z Flip 5 would come in Beige, gray, light green, and light pink.
