Samsung May 2023 update rolling out for these Galaxy devices

After the rapid rollout for the April 2023 month update, Samsung is beginning to roll out the May 2023 security update for eligible Samsung Galaxy devices.

Note: The company is already testing the June 2023 security patch for the Galaxy S23 Series and it will be available soon.

Samsung May 2023 security update – What’s New

Samsung has finally published all the details of the May 2023 security patch. The release notes for the May 1, 2023 Android security bulletin includes fixes for 72 security flaws that affect a wide array of devices. According to the security bulletin, the security vulnerabilities found in Galaxy smartphones and tablets related to the FactoryTest function, ActivityManagerService, kernel pointers exposure in the log file, Theme Manager, GearManagerStub, and the Tips app. Also, Security flaws were found in the Shannon modem found in Exynos processors, bootloader, Telephony framework, call settings components, and AppLock access control.
