5G technology is the fifth generation of cellular networks. It is now rapidly growing and is also up to 100 times faster than 4G. These days, 5G is creating an amazing before-seen opportunity for people and businesses.

The latest technology lets you provide faster connectivity speeds, ultra-low latency and greater bandwidth. Now, according to the latest report, South Korea has now over 30 million 5G users.

This report is officially confirmed by the Ministry of Science and ICT, the country had 29.6 million users as of March, and given that number of subscribers has increased to around 500,000 per month up to now, it is more than likely that as of early May, there are 30 million users.

This milestone comes four years after 5G became available in smartphones in the country in April 2019. To recall, South Korea started 2G code division multiple access (CDMA) services in 1996 and 3G wide CDMA in 2003. With the arrival of WCDMA,  the companies like Qualcomm and Samsung became leaders in application processors and smartphones. Back in 2011, the country got access of 4G long-term evolution (LTE) services.
