Samsung Canada’s, Electronic recycling program significantly enable to reduce e-waste nationwide

Impressively, Samsung Canada is glad to provide support for the nationwide efforts in order to decrease e-waste with its electronic recycling program. This has been introduced in 2022, and it invites Canadians over the country to liable dispose of electronics at their respective local Samsung Experience Stores. Therefore, the citizens can find drop-off premises at the service counter situated in every store.

In its very first year of operations, the recycling program enabled to route e-waste. And thus by the time of its launching, the program has recycled 101 kgs of e-waste respectively.

For many past years or decades, EPRA has their criteria to follow for safe, secure electronics recycling. EPRA also works to ensure that end-of-life electronics are recycled in a safe and environmentally sound manner. While the same has enabled to divert over 1.2 million tonnes of electronics from Canadian landfills since its foundation.

Samsung has already collected more than 5 million tonnes of e-waste globally since 2009. Accordingly, through Earth Month, Samsung has collaborated with the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
