Google will give you ability to control ringtone and notification volume

Another good news for Android users as Google will soon bring the ability to independently control ringtone and notification volume on the phone. This is probably reflected in the June Quarterly Platform Release (QPR) or Android 14, as per the sources. The present setup is found by going to Settings > Sound & Vibration. This showcases four sliders including Media volume, Call volume, Alarm volume, and Ring & notification volume.

One of the sources spotted an ADB command in QPR2 Beta 1. The same is responsible to crate two separate sliders namely Ring volume and Notification volume. While, the time when Google sums this up to Android. It will substantially expand the number of sliders on the page from four to five. While also enable Android users to have notifications set to a low volume than a ringtone, a higher volume, or an equal volume. Notably, this type of customization is not offered by the company at present.

User response with respect to Update

On the other hand, a Feature Request Page, the same part of the Android Issue Tracker site depicts a comment written by a Google. Thereby they talk about the creation of separate sliders. And wrote, “The requested feature will be available in a future build.” The comment posted recently got a response from an Android user. In response, they said, “Only took you around 2 years to recognize your flawed logic here. Thank you for finally understanding the importance of this feature. It will make Pixel’s Android much more user-friendly.”

Although Google makes this slider launch in its stable QPR3 release. This is approximately penciled in for June 5th. While the individual sliders won’t seem to appear in the QPR3 Beta 3 release. Meanwhile, another chance is that the alteration to the Sound and Vibration page will depict the Android 14 release in August. At the same time, the individual sliders do not demonstrate in the recent Android 14 Beta release, which is version 1.1 respectively.
