[U: Verizon] Samsung Galaxy, S21 and S22 getting April 2023 security update

Update 5 – April 30, 2023: Samsung Galaxy S22 users in the US are getting Samsung‘s April 2023 update. The company released this month’s security patch for carrier-locked units on Verizon with version S901USQU2CWCE.

Update 4 – April 18, 2023: The T-Mobile network users of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Series are now receiving the latest April 2023 update with the versions G991NKSU4EWCI, G996NKSU4EWCI, and G998NKSU4EWCI in the US.

Update 3 – April 10, 2023: The Samsung Galaxy S22 Series is getting the April 2023 security patch update in the UK (O2). The latest update comes with the firmware version S908BXXU4CWCG.

Update 2 – April 06, 2023: The Samsung Galaxy S22 Series is now getting the April 2023 security patch update in Korea and Brazil. The update is rolling out with the firmware version S908NKSU3CWCE.

Update 1 – April 05, 2023: Samsung is releasing the April 2023 security patch update for carrier-unlocked Galaxy S22 devices in the US. This new firmware includes the overall functioning of the devices. It also optimizes the system’s security and stability so that you can experience bug-free performance.

According to the latest information, the April 2023 security patch update for the Galaxy S22 is rolling out with the firmware version S908U1UES2CWCC. Currently, the update is rolling out to a limited number of users but we hope this will expand soon in other regions as well.

The April 2023 security patch from Samsung patches over 65+ security vulnerabilities, including one for the scary Exynos modem issue. Of all the patched exploits, 55 issues were from Google and 15 security flaws were Galaxy-specific.
