Samsung simplified the file sharing process with Quick Share

Samsung is always initiated to make your life easy and hassle-free, this time it shows its concern towards sharing process out of which it simplified the process of sharing through Quick Share. The Quick Share feature was first introduced in 2020 for Galaxy users. This is to transfer photos, videos, and various files with other Galaxy devices, smartphones, or PCs with less time and energy.

Enhancing the same feature’s usability and simplicity, Samsung’s flagship file-sharing feature enables the quick sharing of all file types, from simple photos and memos to large videos and business documents requiring increased security. Here are some functionality of the feature let’s read it below.

Share Original Image Files Without Losing Quality

Quick Share provides a simple file transfer in a matter of seconds, to a messaging app or email and downloading them again. It serves the biggest advantage that it quickly shares photos with nearby Galaxy devices in just a few taps regardless of the number and size of the files.

Users can send files to up to eight people at a time, with a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection. On the same spot receiving files through Quick Share is simple, from set up to sending and receiving. All you need to swipe down from the top of the screen of your Galaxy device and tap on the Quick Share icon from Quick Settings to use the Quick Share feature.

Let’s start with some easy steps that can be followed if you want to know how to use the feature:

1: Select the file to share → click Quick Share

First and foremost from the Gallery app or a file in a folder select the picture or video, and then click the Share icon. Soon after tapping on the Quick Share icon in the pop-up window, available Galaxy devices that can accept shared files appear.

2: Select Galaxy user to transfer files → Receiving party accepts files

The user had to set Galaxy devices that can accept files in advance, according to sharing preferences. The file is sent immediately when the other Galaxy device accepts the file transfer. In Gallery app > in the Quick Share folder> these shared files can be found without a separate download process.

Share photos among Non-Galaxy Devices using Quick Share

Sharing files with non-Galaxy users can be your second concern, but Quick Share is even helpful while sharing files with non-Galaxy users. You can simply share files by clicking Quick Share and Copying the link or Sharing using a QR code.

In case the user chooses to share the file using a QR code, the recipient can simply copy or scan the code and receive the file instantly on their smartphone or device. When using Quick Share with non-Galaxy users, a Galaxy user can select the file they want to share via Quick Share and choose from the following options: Copy the link, Share in an app, and Share using a QR code.

The link can be sent via messenger right away if Share in an app is selected, making it an effective way to share files with multiple people at once in a group chatroom. Additionally, users can send original photos and videos in high quality without worrying about deteriorated image quality due to file compression. Also, files uploaded to Samsung Cloud are automatically deleted after a certain period, improving security and user convenience.

Also, the easiest sharing feature can be used on any Galaxy device that comes with it. The instant file-sharing feature allows files to move freely across smartphones, Galaxy tablets, and Galaxy Books.

Private Share control long recipients’ access and set an expiration date

Private Share allows users to revoke access to shared files even after they have been sent. The most notable feature of Private Share is that users can control the recipient’s access permission and the file’s expiration date. Prior to sharing, users can set the amount of time a file can be viewed as well as how the recipient can use the files. Users can also adjust the settings and revoke sharing permissions even after the files have been sent.

Private Share keep shared files secure

In order to ensure, that recipient has received files and when they have opened them everything that the sender can check. Secure files cannot be downloaded, and screenshots cannot be taken, preventing files from being shared with parties that do not have access. Additionally, Quick Share and Private Share, Galaxy users can also use other file-sharing methods. For example, Dropship or Nearby Share which allows users to send content how and when they want.
