Twitter flagged the Galaxy S23 Ultra moon feature as FAKE

It seems like the controversy over Galaxy S23 Ultra moon photos is not taken pause. Despite giving the reason that how the device is efficiently capable of capturing clear-cut moon photos with 100x zoom. Still, it appears that people are not convinced. While this time, it is getting worse since Twitter itself has flagged the Galaxy S23 Ultras moon photos as fake ones.

Twitter Community Note below Samsung ad

Notably, Samsung subsequently has run an ad on Twitter in regard to Galaxy S23 Ultra’s moon-capturing competence. The Twitter ad reads, “There is no dark side of the moon with the #GalaxyS23Ultra. Capture your night skies and share with us by replying to this thread with #SharetheEpic.”

Whereas, just below the Samsung ad, there’s a Twitter Community Note that states that, “Samsung phones digitally “fake” images taken of the Moon to make them appear sharper.” Notably, Community Notes are specifically fact-checking reviews that have been given by contributors on Twitter. Since contributors have the independency to add notes on any tweet. Further, if the appropriate number of contributors rate that note to be helpful then Twitter will publicly display it below the tweet.

Similarly to the contributor capable to add notes below tweets, anyone can also report it. On the other hand, tweet authors can also request more reviews. But the fact that this specific note appears on an ad for which Samsung paid then its somewhat distinctive. The same note is shared by one of the folks who shared the screenshot if the same.

In addition to this, talking about whether the moon photographs taken by the Galaxy S23 Ultra are real or not then Samsung already denied such a proclamation. However, there’s little work done in order to produce resultant clear images but as per Samsung, it does not add any image overlay. Also, it’s a mix of multiple components with the help of advanced technologies. Further, it improvises by using AI in order to get the final result. All these combine produce a clearer image of the moon.

Also, the community notes are presently available for selected regions. It includes the US, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. Thus, it may likely be possible that you won’t see the note on Twitter.
