List of the Malware infected Apps

It has been observed that Malware has infected more than 60 permissible apps in the Google Play Store combined installed over 100 million times. On the other hand, the malware that makes these apps quite fatal is a new brew known as ‘Goldoson.’ While the developer of these apps unwittingly added malware. This is by using a third-party library. Since this includes some sections that already contained malware. As these components are issued by the app developers in order to save some time. Meanwhile, infected apps were either cleaned up by the developer or else booted out of the Google Play Store.

As per Google spokesperson, stated, “When we find apps that violate our policies, we take appropriate action. We have notified the developers that their apps are in violation of Google Play policies and fixes are needed to come into compliance. Users are also protected by Google Play Protect, which can warn users of identified malicious apps on Android devices.”

Talking about more about Goldoson than it is invented by researchers at the security firm McAfee. It mentions on its blog that the Goldoson malware can substantially collect a list of apps that are installed on mobile devices. Also, the name of devices connected synced to a  phone via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, and nearby GPS locations. Alternatively, the malware can commit ad fraud by clicking on ads execute in the background without the consent of the user.

Therefore, to be on the safer side, you must ensure that your phone does not have any of these apps installed. It is worth noting that this list consists of the number of downloads. It either signifies that the malware was removed from the app (Updated). Or else the app was removed from the Play Store (Removed).
