Samsung has started sending out the April 2023 security patch update for the Galaxy S21 Series in Europe, India and the Netherlands. The update is rolling out with the firmware version G998BXXU7EWCH. The update changelog confines that it includes the camera update as well.
The April security patch brings 51 fixes for the Android OS, and 23 for Samsung’s own software and hardware. Some of them are very important for the security of the Exynos Soc that can also be found in the Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra.
You can now enjoy the Galaxy S23 Image clipper feature on the S21. In the Gallery, put your fingertip on a person or object in a photo, and wait for your phone to crop it out by itself.
If you have the Galaxy S21 and if you live in the above-mentioned countries, you can now download the new update by navigating to Settings > Software update > tapping Download and Install.
