Samsung plumps easily replaceable batteries for Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5

Samsung initiates making alterations to the internal design and packaging of its phone. This has been come to notice a few years back, in order to encourage the eco-friendly motive of the company. While, with the Galaxy S23 series, Samsung further made it easier to replace their batteries by using less glue and a pull tab. Additionally, with its next generation of foldable phones also, the Korean firm strategically planning to come up with similar advancements.

The batteries of the foldable’s, Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 that has been certified by the Korean safety certification authority. Whereby, the image of the batteries depicts their model numbers. Additionally, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 comprises two batteries followed by model numbers EB-BF731ABY and EB-BF732ABY. Also, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 too will be featured a pair of batteries. This has the model numbers EB-BF946ABY and EB-BF947ABY respectively.

As disclosed all four batteries have a pull tab on them. Notably, it makes them comparatively easier to replace. In addition to this, all these are being produced by Chinese firm ATL instead of Samsung battery-making firm Samsung SDI.

Talking about technical specs, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 has a rated capacity of 971mAh. Apparently, it is relatively smaller than the Galaxy Z Flip 4’s secondary battery. That had a rated capacity of 1,040mAh. Whereas, at this point, it is not right to draw a conclusion. Since, Samsung tested two sets of batteries for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 last year, and ended up by choosing the one with a higher capacity.

To be more focused on the environment. Samsung always tends to choose eco-friendly products and runs various campaigns from time to time. As they make several accessories and phone parts by using recyclable and PCM materials. Substantially, it also uses sustainable energy sources and utilizes extreme water filtration methods for its factories.
