How the new Samsung Message Guard system protects your smartphone? One UI 5.1 running devices will get it

Samsung Message Guard is a new security tool to address the frequently increasing problem due to Hackers and malicious person looking for new ways to attack their targeted devices….!! The “zero clicks” makes it possible to infect a smartphone without the knowledge of the victim.

When Samsung introduced the Samsung Message Guard, it was mainly oriented that it could protect against zero-click flaws in messages. Samsung wants to offer an effective solution to this increasingly frequent problem, and this now involves the implementation of a new security tool called Samsung Message Guard.

Firstly there is a need to let you know what are the “zero-click” vulnerabilities and how they infect your device. Thereafter How Samsung Message Guard protects your smartphone. Check it out below.

What are “zero-click” vulnerabilities?

Zero-click flaws tend to be attacked, based on manipulation on the part of the target, such as clicking on a URL or downloading a file containing malware, “zero-click” vulnerabilities do not require any particular action to be exploited. These are very severe security vulnerabilities.

A malicious person only needs to send you content. Once it is received on your smartphone, you are already infected. Therefore you need to secure through the Samsung Message Guard if you are a Galaxy user.

How Samsung Message Guard protects your smartphone

Samsung Message Guard tool waits for images embedded in your messages on your device. The system isolates that image and does not allow it to communicate with the rest of your device as soon it arrives, in what is known as a “sandbox”.

Message Guard will then scan the message bit by bit for malicious code. If there are any problems. The malicious content will not be able to be executed – or contained in the sandbox. Thus preventing the zero-click attack from being carried out. This is a smart strategy that hopefully should prevent this kind of malware from spreading on smartphones.

Which smartphones are compatible with Samsung Message Guard?

At it installs Message Guard tool is only available on the latest generations of Galaxy devices, namely the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra since launch. Samsung plans to roll it out to other generations of Galaxy smartphones and tablets in the coming months. The only prerequisite is that the device must run under One UI 5.1 or later.

You can continue to use Samsung Message Guard if you prefer the Google Messages app. Even better, the South Korean giant will soon deploy an update allowing Message Guard to also work with third-party messaging apps.
