Samsung has officially unveiled the NVMe SSD 990 PRO Heatsink in Germany. The SSD 990 Pro packs fast speeds and excellent energy efficiency. It is generally created for high-performance gaming and intensive applications such as 3D rendering, 4K video editing and data analysis.

The new integrated heat sink enables consistently high performance when reading and writing data. According to the official information, it is now available in-store with a price tag of 159.90 euros for 1TB variant and 249.90 euros for 2TB variants.

As per the layout, the all-new Samsung 990 PRO heatsink comes in a slim design. With a height of only 8.2 mm, it can be easily installed in the PlayStation 5, but also in desktop PCs and laptops, according to the PCI-SIG D8 standard.

Reliable heat control even in heated matches

With the latest nickel-coated controller that the South Korean tech giant developed for the first time for the 990 PRO. When tested at room temperature (25°C), the 990 PRO heatsink performs strongly over the entire period of sequential reads and writes while remaining cooler than the 990 PRO.

Samsung’s Dynamic Thermal Guard (DTG) technology also ensures that the drive’s temperature remains at a suitable level. This prevents performance fluctuations and enables constant, powerful performance.
