Android 14 DP2: Media player new animations and Settings app gets in-app predictive back gesture

Reportedly, the Android 14 Developer Preview is available now. While it wouldn’t be a preliminary entrance build without Google making Media player tweaks.

The newest developer intent build is the second such version of Android 14. This is probably what you get or not in respective eligible Google Pixel devices. Additionally, Android 14 Developer Preview 1 didn’t tweak or adapt the Media player that spans across the Quick Settings panel and lock screen. All the way, this time Google has made substantial changes that surely get noticeable straightaway.

Also, both effects will use an appreciative color to the album art of the media being played. Also, this seems to work with most apps that are adaptable with the Media player in Android 14 Developer Preview 2.

Predictive back gesture

Moving ahead, also the “predictive back gesture” was append with Android 13. At first instance, it was purely designed to enable you to know that swiping back would exit an app and come to the home screen. Notably, the feature is available on Pixel phones, and it needs to enable with Developer Options.

As unveiled past year, this feature is expanding with Android 14. This is intended to allow apps to show previews of what tends to happen when you go back from any screen.

Quick preview of the same, as it swipes back from the “Data saver” page, a bit transparent version of the “Network & Internet” page slides into view. Whereas, swiping it back and releasing cancel the gesture.
