Update 3 – March 03, 2023: The Galaxy S20 Series is now getting the February 2023 security patch update in Korea with the firmware version ending with IWB4.

Samsung has started releasing the February 2023 security update to its smartphones. The update was first rolled out to the Galaxy Note 20 series, A52 5G, and the Galaxy S21 FE. Now, the South Korean tech giant has started rolling out the current month’s patch update for the Galaxy S20 series in various countries worldwide.

As per the latest information, the 5G versions of the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra are getting February 2023 security patch update in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Trinidad & Tobago, and Uruguay.

The update is currently rolling out with the firmware version G98xBXXSFGWAD. According to the Samsung February 2023 security bulletin, the update fixes 5 “Critical” severity vulnerabilities, and 43 “High levels of CVEs.

The 4G LTE versions of the Galaxy S20 series devices are getting the February 2023 security patch with firmware version G98xFXXSFGWAD.

In order to install the latest security patch update just download it via Settings-> Software update -> Download and install.

Samsung Galaxy S20 series received the Android 12 update at the end of 2021 and the Android 13 update in the third quarter of 2022. The devices won’t get Android OS updates.
