Samsung may launch the first dedicated AP for Galaxy in 2025

Samsung AP News

At MWC 2023, Park Yong-in, the head of the system LSI business division at Samsung Electronics said in an interview that Samsung Electronics is developing a dedicated application processor (AP) for Galaxy. Earlier, the company has made Exynos APs such as the Galaxy S and Galaxy A series, but they were close to general-purpose chips.

As Apple mounts the A series on the iPhone, Samsung Electronics is also looking for the decided AP exclusively for its own smartphones. The company is looking to work with several companies. Earlier, in the process of designing ‘Exynos 2200’, AMD and graphics processing unit (GPU) cooperation were carried out.

Samsung Electronics President Park also said that we can cooperate with any company with technological prowess other than AMD. We are open to various possibilities.

The company says it will take more than one to two years as Samsung Electronics is preparing its first dedicated AP for Galaxy. On this day, President Park said, “We are preparing well. There will be good news soon.”
