Google Maps now support AOD on Wear OS 3 devices [Galaxy Watch 4 and 5]

Finally, Google Maps now support AOD. Yes, you read that right, in Wear OS 3 supported devices, Google Maps has now been updated with AOD support as well on the Pixel Watch too. It also brings some changes in UI.

According to the latest information, now you will get a dedicated list view in full screen. There is a new pill-shaped button that lets you switch to the view at the bottom. Thanks to 9to5Google team for sharing the screenshots. Below you can check the screenshot of the display being fully active, while the image at the right shows Google Maps in AOD.

Wear OS 3 Google Maps AOD

The latest update will be visible on version 11.65 of Google Maps for Wear OS 3. For your information, the UI tweaks and AOD support are rolling out via a server-side update so you might need to wait. Currently, it is working on Pixel Watch and Galaxy Watch 4/5.
