Update 1 – January 05, 2023: The January 2023 security patch update is now rolling out for the Galaxy Note 20 series in the US. This latest update is available for the unlocked models. The update will soon be available for the carrier-locked units too.
According to the information, the January 2023 security patch update for the unlocked Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is rolling out with the firmware version N98*U1UES3GVL1 in the US. As per the changelog, the update is available for the units on AT&T, Verizon, Xfinity Mobile, Comcast, and Cricket Wireless.
The January 2023 security patch update fixes over 60 vulnerabilities. 20 of those are Galaxy-specific issues affecting various device components, services, and apps including NFC, Knox Service, Secure Folder, and Wi-Fi Service.
