Google Meet makes it easier to share files during calls

As part of update, Google is making it easier to share Slides with people on the call with a pair of changes, when in Meet….!!

In the official feed Google leaked the information that they made two core changes that will improve file sharing in Google Meet even easier.

First, you can now share access to the content you’re presenting in a meeting with attendees, including everyone on the Calendar guest list, directly from Meet. While presenting, you can share the file from the floating action menu or via the suggestion in the Meet Chat.

In the bottom-right corner now presentation controller features a “Share in Meet chat” button is there. As same will appear in “suggestion in the Meet Chat.” Attendees will be notified of the share, while a “link to the file will be automatically shared in the meeting chat.”

You can also choose to “Attach the file to the Calendar event.” Additionally, when you paste Drive links in Meet Chat, the file access dialog will appear to ensure that all guests have access to it.

Google wants a reduction on “having to switch into another window to grant access which can be disruptive.” Something the same it intents when putting Google Chat and Meet in the same Gmail window.

This makes it easier for meeting attendees to follow along with your presentation, find and reference your material later on, and continue working on action items from the meeting.

Sourece said that the recent file sharing in Google Meet will be son land may be in a comming week. Hope you like the piece of the update, when you’ll also look to share Slides while calling.
