Samsung Galaxy S24 series will use custom Snapdragon high-frequency chips

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series is all set to arrive on February 2. The Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphones are arriving with a customized high-frequency version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, and the CPU frequency will be as high as 3.36GHz.

Now, ahead of the Galaxy S23 launch, Twitter tipster Yogesh Brar claimed that the Samsung Galaxy S24 series will also use a similar Snapdragon for Galaxy custom chip until Samsung’s self-developed Exynos chip can compete with the Snapdragon again.

Meanwhile, Samsung’s smartphone division (Samsung MX) has already confirmed that the company is working on the design processors for high-end Galaxy smartphones. The first chip of the new division will be unveiled with the Galaxy S25 series in 2025.
