Reportedly, T-Mobile was once again hacked and it’s the 8th time T-Mobile was hacked since 2018. The official says, “the hacker stole the data that included “name, billing address, email, phone number, date of birth, T-Mobile account number and information such as the number of lines on the account and plan features,”.
The hacker was working on the data stealing process since 25 November 2022 and the company came to know about this breach on 5 January,23, more than a month later. They fixed this issue within a day but data of 37 Million customers was already breached by that time.
The hackers didn’t breach any of the company’s systems but rather abused an API. “Our investigation is still ongoing, but the malicious activity appears to be fully contained at this time, and there is currently no evidence that the bad actor was able to breach or compromise our systems or our network,” the company wrote.
