Samsung Galaxy M42 smartphone is now receiving the January 2023 security patch update. The all-new firmware update is rolling out with the firmware version M426BXXU4CWA2. This software update is available in the Indian market and soon it will be available for more regions.
The January 2023 security patch, as with all patches, fixes vulnerabilities in both the core Android OS and Samsung’s own software.
The Samsung Galaxy M42 recently received the stable One UI 5.0 update and it brings a new way to customize the lock screen, improved performance and UI animations, an easier method of managing background apps, redesigns to the Settings app, and overall, a more streamlined experience.
The firmware update will be available in other countries soon. If you haven’t yet received the update notification in India, you can check manually through Settings >> Software update >> Download and install.
