WhatsApp to soon adopt two new features

This is the addition of two new features in WhatsApp Android, and as a stable release in the next couple of months

Reportedly, WhatsApp for Android will soon adopt two new features that make the usage of the app more convenient. Out of the two, the first feature is the option to block a contact right from the message notification pop-up. While the second feature offers separate tabs that enable you to capture photos and record videos with the app only.

Presently, if you want to block a contact on WhatsApp. You need to go to the app and select the chat. Then tap on the contact info, and then there’s an option to block the contact. While people, who are not that tech-savvy, find this process too lengthy. That’s the reason WhatsApp is working on offering an option to block a contact right from an unwanted message’s pop-up notification. And this makes really easy to block a contact. Although, this option will show up only for contacts that aren’t saved on your device. So that contact is not accidentally get block.

Tap the record button just once to record the video

Also, if you want to record a video within the app. Presently you need to press and hold the camera shutter button. While, it can feel quite cumbersome in order to record a long video. Atlast, WhastApp is testing new feature that offers different tabs for taking photos and record the same. Therefore if you want to record a video. The things you need to do is to choose the video in the viewfinder and tap the record button just once.

The option to block contacts through the message notificatin pop-up was spotted in WhatsApp Beta v2.23.2.5. It is presently in development stage. While the new camera mode, on the other side were spotted in WhatsApp Beta v2.22.24.21 respectively. Also, it speculated that both the features to roll out in the form of stable version in the next couple of months.
