Samsung’s next foldable devices are expected to arrive later this year. The company will launch Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 with new technologies.
Earlier it was reported that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 foldable smartphone could feature a holder for the S-Pen stylus and an as-yet-unreleased smartphone chip. The upcoming Z Fold 5 will also be said to come with an upgraded camera.
At CES 2023, Samsung Display showcased a waterdrop hinge device – possibly Galaxy Z Fold 5, and this is a prototype comparing the thickness of the existing Z Fold 4.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 features
Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 5 with a new hinge called droplet (Waterdrop hinge + waterproof) in order for the folding display panel to avoid creases.
A new report also claimed that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 could get a 108MP sensor for its primary camera — up from the 50MP main camera on the Z Fold 4. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 users have often cited a lacklustre camera experience on foldable phones, so the new change may fix that.
