The latest software update for the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra bump up the firmware version of the phones to G998BXXS5DWA4. The update, which is rolling out in Germany, brings the January 2023 security patch.
In order to install the January 2023 security patch update on your Galaxy S21, you can check for the update by tapping on Settings -> Software update ->Download and install.

To recall, the Galaxy S21 series was launched back in early 2021 with Android 11 onboard. The devices in the lineup got the Android 12-based One UI 4 update in late 2021 and the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update was also received arrived.
