Google Meet update knocks with 360-degree backgrounds for Android and iOS

Now you can go to the custom background as part of the Google Meet updates for Android and iOS. Google made refurbished the Meet App adding 360-degree backgrounds while customizing your video feed.

You will become obsessed with this update once these 360-degree backgrounds roll in the coming weeks on Android and iOS for both consumers and paid Workspace users. This will move with your mobile device by taking advantage of gyroscope/orientation data.

Google explained the update from scratch that these backgrounds are actually videos that tend to move independently as per your device. At launch, you can pick from an oasis (as seen below), sky city, or mountain temple, with more coming. You’ll surely find whatever you want therein.

Also, source-blowing about the existing set of standard wallpapers, blur effects, video/moving backgrounds, styles (B&W, sepia, etc.), and face filters, as well as the ability to upload your own.

As you are aware the former app has a green logo, while the latter uses a four-colored icon. Most people should already have the upgraded app installed on their devices. For the time being, Google next week will start encouraging people to stop using the app named “Meet (original)” and upgrade to the Duo-derived “Meet.”

Once the update touches the floor the original app will vanish from sight in the coming months. Other than it is also shared by the source that the update is lacking some new features like direct calling and will be missing out on emoji reactions. But Duo-derived “Meet” will be there for you after a week. Hope you like that. Do not forget to share your experience once you come across it.
