OLED TV shipments may reach 12.5 million units by 2027

According to the latest information, global OLED TV shipments will reportedly increase by 12.5 million units in 2027. Trend Force predicted OLED TV shipments by year to be 6.7 million units in 2022. 7 million units in 2023, 7.9 million units in 2024, 8.3 million units in 2025, 9 million units in 2026, and 9.8 million units in 2027.

In a new report, DSCC expected 1.4 million TV shipments using Samsung Display’s QD-OLED in the 2027 OLED TV shipment forecast of 12.5 million units. In the remaining 11.1 million units, LG Display’s W-OLED portion is estimated to be absolute.

The projected average annual growth rate (CAGR) of OLED TV shipments from 2020 to 2027 is 19%. It was expected to exceed the growth rate (14%) of premium TV shipments during the same period and that OLED growth would be the steepest among premium products.

Total premium TV shipments, including OLED TVs and mini LED TVs, were expected to reach 34.4 million units in 2027.

In terms of premium TV sales by region, Western Europe and North America accounted for 61% of shipments and 60% of sales. This trend is expected to continue until 2027.
